In a large area covering a surfice from Spain to Ungaria, a new art,
bound to an extremely homogeneous civilization,
the so-called civilization of La Tcne, appeared since 450 b. C. on.
It lasted in Gaul till the conquest of Caesar, but in other regions, like in England, lasted a longer time;
in Central Europe, the Celtic indigeneous element extended beyond the lenght of Roman Empire.
People have been searching a long time the origins of Celtic art
and both classical world and the East have been evoked.
It's been said that Greece gave some elements of Celtic decoration.
It's likely that we can also think of an eastern influence, though it would be less clear.
Celtic world received certainty some Italian-Greek contributions,
but it's still difficoult for us to precise haw and through which ways they were reiceved.
Main ways were doubtless the big rivers ( Danube, Rhone) and the Alps.
