The use of coral is celtic.
This material, coming from different areas of Mediterranean Sea,
where it wasn't really used, showed up by the end of First Iron Age.
Another cult of Celts was valuable weapons:
by examing them it's possible to recognize and admire their stylistic canons.
Objects like hooks,
bronze brooches for belts and articles of clothing testimony the main characteristic of Celtic art too.
But the field where there was the biggest impulse was goldwork
(like the torques, massive ring shaped collars; in this field the ornamentation is often based on a set of three: 3 rings, 3 spheres, etc.)
on the whole, Celtic art seems to be pure barbarian luxury in which,
basically, curve line rules; naturalistic shapes are always mixed with geometric elements and inorganic symbols.
This avversion to reality explain why in Celtic art pictures of animals are rare
or altered by too many decorations. Exuberance is the real characteristic of Celtic art.
That's an art noted for its originality and it affected Europe for almost 500 years
