A Bagad is a traditional Breton band.
It is quite a recent kind of band very similar to Scottish Pipe Bands.
A bagad consists in three groups of instruments bagpipes (binou
koz), bombardes and drums:
Bagad
Beuzeg / Groupe des Bruyères, play a whole range of marches,
ballades, lovely tunes and frenetic dances. The musicians have now replaced
the duet formed by a bombarde and a biniou koz which formaly accompagned
the Breton Cercle.
Bagad
"Gilles de Retz" - Nantes, a cherché à donner de nouveaux
accents à la musique traditionnelle celtique en introduisant
guitares électriques et synthétiseur dans ses compositions.

Kemper, the subtle union of tradition and evolution which characterizes
this Bagad explains that it has been hailed, 15 times champion of Brittany
of the Bagadoù.
Bagad
de Vannes - Melinerion, created in 1954, it takes part in the National
Breton Championship, and it has been two times vice-champion in grade
one. The most important work of the band is in the research in harmonics
and melody.
Bagad
et Cercle Celtique de Kevrenn Alre, they were six times champion
of the National Bagadoú Competition and seven times champion
of the National Dancing Competition. They have proven that traditional
cultural expressions can survive and that the group is not confined
to an old fashioned repertoire.

et Cercle Celtique de Vern sur Seiche, competes in second category
in the "Championnat National des Bagadou" and ranks among the
first groups. Therefore, it belongs to the 15 best formations in Britanny.

Molard, Patrick Molard is one of the best breton piper. He won the
